PARTISAN SPECIAL
Given the increasing number of “spontaneous” explosions, fires, and other troubles at strategically important Russian sites, it is time to discuss partisan movements in Russia.

Part One
The Invisible Front
Members of the URF are certain that any dictatorship in Russia understands only the language of force. To defeat it, they consider it necessary to unite all opposition formations.
Part Two
The Core of the Resistance: BLACK BRIDGE
Black Bridge volunteers are conscientious Russian citizens who refused to remain silent and watch Russia plunge into the abyss under the rule of a bloody dictator.
Part Three
Being a Partisan—A Choice of the Heart
Part One
The Invisible Front.
Partisan movements in Russia and abroad
Many diverse groups are now consolidating into the United Resistance Front (Объединенный Фронт Сопротивления), a strategic alliance of partisan organizations founded in June 2024. The URF is an independent organization established as a common platform for all resistance organizations and figures and now aims to overthrow the Putin regime, establish democratic government in Russia, and grant nations the right to self-determination.
In the first part of the Partisan Special, Non-White Coat introduces us to one of the resistance movement platforms, bringing together more than thirty diverse initiatives. The UNITED RESISTANCE FRONT (URF) is a decentralized association, as decentralization provides the highest level of security for the resistance and increases the movement’s effectiveness, since each movement has a unique approach to the struggle and uses different methods.
The list of members of the United Resistance Front is constantly updated. It includes partisan movements, emigrant projects, and underground media, as well as military and political figures. You can explore the non-anonymous ones in our infographic.
Part Two
The Core of the Resistance: BLACK BRIDGE
“Black Bridge” opposes the Putin regime and the war it unleashed in Ukraine. The organization recognizes only armed struggle against tyranny and calls on Russians to revolt. Members of the organization believe that “useless rallies, lantern processions, and dreams of the Beautiful Russia of the Future” cannot yield results, which is why the organization “trains supporters in Russia and gives them all the opportunity to contribute themselves to the liberation of the country from the Putin regime”.
Part Three
Being a Partisan—A Choice of the Heart
“Being a partisan is difficult, risky, like walking on a knife’s edge, on the edge of a cliff…” In the third part of our special, Non-White Coat speaks with a representative of the Skrepach partisan movement.
Не белое пальто | Non-White Coat
If you want to do something real, you will likely get your white coat dirty. In Russian, a "white coat" is therefore sometimes a synonym for the self-righteousness, moralizing, and unsolicited advice of people who do not do much themselves—their coats remain white.
Non-White Coat about themselves: We are an independent community of journalists awaiting World War III. The dirty coat of military reporting, impartial OSINT verification, radical topics, and interviews with people no one else dares to talk to.
SUPPORT OUR WORK
We monitor and bring visibility to the Russian resistance movement.
Let us push this topic into public debate. Let us thumb our noses at the Russian regime and our own prejudices. When we talk and write about our brave ones—and when there are many of us—it will be harder for Russian propaganda. And that is already something. Every bit counts.
