A summary of Russian resistance actions in 2023

Over the past year, Russian partisans have mapped more than 350 resistance actions across the entire territory of the RF.

Věstník povstání summarizes the year 2023 and publishes a major summary of reports on the Russian resistance for this year.

It should be noted that the data provided below are a highly conservative estimate, as the calculation only took into account those actions that we reported on this year.

We are unaware of many others because they do not reach the media.

We have included both successful partisan attacks and equally brave, though slightly less successful, attempts in the analysis.

At the same time, however, we did not consider those that appear to be FSB setups.

As expected, the railway resistance is in the lead 🙂

114 arson attacks on relay cabinets across the RF
16 derailed trains (not all recorded derailments are confirmed partisan actions, but by all accounts, they could be)
18 other attacks on the railway (for example, track damage or setting cars on fire)
60+ attacks on military registration and enlistment offices and mobilization centers
32 resistance actions against security forces, including the explosion in the FSB building in Rostov-on-Don (Black Spark movement)
23 “strange” fires in military-industrial complex facilities
18 attacks on Z-symbol propaganda or Z-cars
17 attacks on oil and gas pipelines, power lines, and mobile operator towers
16 partisan actions using UAVs (drones), including the attack on the Kremlin, which according to military experts was launched from Russian territory
11 digital actions carried out by cyber-partisans
9 attacks on administrative buildings and regional government officials
6 pieces of destroyed military equipment, including Su-27 and Tu-22 aircraft
6 armed border incursions by Russian volunteers within the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
4 assassination attempts on propagandists and warmongers

In total, more than 350 resistance actions in a year, which means one action every single day 🙂
