Rostov region. Dvoynaya – Yelmut section of the North Caucasus Railway.
Fighters of the Kuban Insurgent Movement carried out a sabotage action on the railway line. Through the use of a mechanical derailer, a controlled derailment of several freight train wagons occurred.
Comprehensive damage
⚡️The derailment caused a chain disruption of the clearance profile of the adjacent track and a complete emergency disconnection of the overhead lines. Traffic on this strategic section of the North Caucasus Railway was blocked. Schedules for the movement of military cargo, engineering materials, and heavy equipment being transported through the Rostov region as reinforcements for Southern Military District units were disrupted.
⚡️Recovery trains from Salsk and Tikhoretskaya stations were urgently dispatched to the crash site, and scarce repair brigades were deployed. Due to the track blockage, four dual-use passenger trains came to a complete standstill. Kuban Insurgent Movement operators managed to carry out the action under conditions of increased control in the frontline zone, completely bypassing railway security patrols and withdrawing without being captured.
Repressive forces can claim forever that they are “protecting bridges,” but a simple piece of iron, correctly placed by working hands under the wheels, can paralyze an entire army.
