A Georgian politician who arrived in Ukraine in 2022, he founded and leads the Zviad Gamsakhurdia Caucasian Legion, which fights as part of the Ukrainian 9th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade. He is a colonel in the Georgian National Guard and a senior officer in Europol’s counter-terrorism section. He also serves as the Minister of Defense for the Georgian government-in-exile.
