Belarusian cyber-partisans have caused significant damage

Belarusian cyber-partisans report that they have successfully attacked the Russian company Khimvolokno.

Belarusian cyber-partisans report that they have successfully attacked Khimvolokno—Russia’s largest supplier of nylon fibers used to manufacture helmet covers and bulletproof vests for the Russian army. Domain controllers, servers, workstations, and virtual workstations were destroyed (a total of about 1,000 devices in the corporate network). Office work, accounting, marketing, sales, shipping, technical, and administrative processes were disrupted. ERP systems and databases, corporate emails, the Directum document system, backup systems, and others were damaged. Recovery will take weeks; some data is lost forever. The security systems, cameras, and entry control points of Khimvolokno were also attacked (it was simply impossible to enter through the coded doors). 🙂

SUPPORT OUR WORK

We are making the Russian resistance movement visible.

The EIGHT ∞ BRAVE project maps and visualizes the activities and connections of the Russian resistance movement. Let’s push this topic into public debate. Let’s thumb our noses at the Russian regime and our own prejudices. When we talk and write about them—and when there are many of us—Russian propaganda will have a harder time. And that is already something. Every bit counts.
