OBON

The Separate Special Purpose Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria is a unit of the Ministry of Defense of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, formed in 2022 in connection with the restoration of the Ichkerian armed forces structures. It brings together Chechen fighters fighting on the side of Ukraine against Russian aggression. The unit participates in combat and special operations, reconnaissance, and sabotage actions. It has its own command and is not part of the Ukrainian International Legion, falling under the HUR MOU.
