Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya arrived for a state visit to Ukraine

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya arrived in Kyiv for a state visit at the invitation of President Zelenskyy.

Ukraine/Belarus:

The head of the Belarusian government-in-exile and Belarusian president-elect, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, arrived in Kyiv for a state visit at the invitation of President Zelenskyy.

This is a major diplomatic step, and on the part of Ukraine, it represents the recognition of the Belarusian government-in-exile.

Maryja Zajcava

Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya’s first steps during her official visit to Ukraine led to the grave of Maryja Zajcava.

Maryja Zajcava was one of the prominent figures of the 2020 Belarusian protests. She was severely injured during the demonstrations and received medical treatment here in the Czech Republic.

After her partial recovery, she left for Ukraine and enlisted as a soldier in the Belarusian Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment.

She fell at the age of twenty-four while defending Ukraine.
