On September 20, 2026, elections to the Council of People’s Representatives of the Udmurt Republic will be held.
The Council of People’s Representatives of the Udmurt Republic is a representative body of civil society in Udmurtia, whose goal is to be the voice of a free Udmurtia and a platform for preparing a democratic transition from war, dictatorship, and empire to peace, freedom, democracy, and the independence of the Udmurt Republic.
A dictatorial regime rules in the Russian Federation, where there is systematic violation of human rights, political repression, and suppression of freedom of expression, with a complete absence of independent courts, free elections, and competition between political parties. Under these conditions, the elections to the Council of Representatives of the Udmurt Republic are held as a fundamental democratic process for the formation of the political representation of the people.

Why are the elections being held on September 20?
The date of the first free elections in Udmurtia was not chosen by chance.
September 20, 2026, marks the 36th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Udmurt Republic. On September 20, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Udmurt ASSR adopted Declaration No. 83-XII, which proclaimed the state sovereignty of the republic.
On this day, we will offer the residents of Udmurtia a real alternative: instead of choosing between Putinist parties in Putinist pseudo-elections according to Kremlin rules, the citizens of the republic have the opportunity to vote for a radically different model of the future – peace, freedom, democracy, and the independence of Udmurtia.
